  1. Both of my boys did Jacobs Geometry (3rd edition) in 8th grade with no previous logic study. I purchased the set used from this board.
  2. It's going quite well. My non-mathy son is doing this text, and he's understanding the concepts far better than I anticipated. He did Jacobs Alg I and Geometry, so Foerster is a good fit for him. Now and then we have a day like this: :banghead: But most days we're able to figure things out without too much trouble so overall this guy is appropriate! :hurray: Would you mind posting a link to Foerster's precalc? Thanks! Lisa
  3. Sharon, are chapters 1-12 the AL II portion of the text? Thanks, Lisa p.s. I'm the one who purchased your text. :001_smile:
  4. Tina, Thank you so much! My son and I are very grateful for your help! Lisa
  5. I'm sorry - it is the 11th: All proof must be convincing Therefore, there is no proof that poverty causes crime My apologies. Thank you so much. Lisa

  7. Thank you for clarifying the China enthymeme answer. However the other we're not sure about is the poverty/crime (the 10th enthymeme in the list). Would you mind addressing this one? Your help is very much appreciated! :) Lisa
  8. The enthymemes about China and poverty/crime, particularly if the moods are incorrect. Thank you.
  9. Does #14 have errors? Thank you for responding re #16 - that is very helpful.
  10. Has anyone found errors in the answer key for Chapter 6? Thanks!
  11. My second child is using the Saxon sequence and is presently doing Jacobs Geometry 3rd edition in order to have a complete year of geometry - for the same reason you're considering it. My first child did Jacobs Geometry within the Jacobs and Foerster sequence. I remember very little from my high school geometry, but that hasn't hindered us. The Jacobs text is very clear, and I'm pleased with it. I also have the test bank and Enhanced Teacher's Guide. HTH, Lisa
  12. I do not have this disk and am wondering if others also do not. If you do not have it, are you substituting something else? Or do you know how I can obtain this disk? Other suggestions? Thank you. Lisa
