  1. Mine are doing govt & econ using MODG's advanced govt & econ syllabus. This is a one-year/one credit course.
  2. Do you include dual enrollment courses within the body of the transcript (in the same manner as the home school courses), with a note that the course was taken at XYZ College? Or, do you put only home school courses in the body of the transcript, then include dual enrollment courses only in the notes section of the home school transcript? Do you include dual enrollment grades in your calculated GPA along with the home school courses? Do you physically attach a copy of XYZ College's transcript to your home school transcript, in addition to an official transcript being sent from XYZ College? Thanks! Lisa
  3. Does anyone have/use a syllabus (3rd ed)? Otherwise, how do you select exercises for assignments? Thanks! Lisa
  4. Contact the teacher of the course. However next year's info might not be available yet. Seems like I contacted the teachers last year around April 1. Lisa
  5. My current 10th and 11th graders are doing AP English Language & Composition with PA Homeschoolers. I prefer not to do AP Lit due to $$. I am considering having my boys do TOG lit for 11th and 12 grades. The 12th grader will do TOG history, but not 11th grader. I would rather not do TOG writing. Having my boys be accountable to someone else for writing would be ideal. :) Any online suggestions that are not terribly $$? Thanks, Lisa
  6. Does the Instructor's Manual include answers to the text? I'm wondering which components are deemed "essential." Thanks! Lisa
  7. I purchased tests (or maybe they're called quizzes) from Memoria Press several years ago. I don't see them listed on their website, so give them a call to see if they still have them available for sale. HTH, Lisa
  8. Given the discussion here http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95377, how many high school credits are earned by completing SOS Spanish I? My son did not complete a formal Spanish course previous to doing Spanish I (he did have some background in Spanish however). He has one more unit to do before completing Spanish I -- but I'm wondering if he has already earned one credit given this is a challenging course? What about SOS Spanish II? Thanks, Lisa
  9. Hi Kendall, My son has been using Merriam-Webster's Diccionario Espanol-Ingles (sorry-I do not know how to type the accents!) with SOS Spanish 1. HTH, Lisa
  10. Hilary, would you mind saying what your son's PSAT scores were? I understand there is a desired minimum score. Pm me if you'd rather. Thank you for posting. Lisa
  11. Mine are doing the Microsoft Office Applications course (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) from The Potters School. Lisa
  12. Janice, do you have the Instructor's Guide (ISBN 9781559537902)? I'm finding this very useful for determining which extras are appropriate for my child. HTH, Lisa
  13. I'm hoping someone responds regarding the Reading Analysis assignments. I see the author says always assign them. If you do, then how do you assess your student's answers? Thanks, Lisa
  14. Ds is in ch 12. By the time he finishes, he will have taken approximately 1.5 academic years to complete ch 1-12. Then the next day he will begin Foerster's pre-calc. :D Ch 6 and 7 were especially hard for him. Plus ch 6 is the longest chapter in the text. Let me tell you, I was ready to pitch it during ch 6. But I'm so glad we stuck with it. He really understands Foerster even though math is not his strength. HTH, Lisa
