  1. Neither of us are particularly "math-y" but he's doing well with it. I've been able to help him whenever he doesn't understand the text - which really is not often because the text is well-written. Lisa
  2. Thank you, Gwen, for posting. Ds is by no means a computer whiz, so perhaps this would be a good choice for him. Anyone else have a child who has taken this particular course? Thanks, Lisa
  3. Thanks for the replies. I've been reading a library copy and am planning to purchase a copy for my boys. This book has a powerful message. Lisa
  4. I've been trying to call you...your phone is not accepting messages? Sorry, this isn't about Spanish. :)
  5. Yes, I purchased the tests from the publisher: ph # 1-800-531-0071. HTH, Lisa
  6. Ds does 2-3 pages per day. Do you have the tests? I schedule only the test on test days. This is what I did for VFTHSS and it worked out pretty well for a full academic year. HTH, Lisa
  7. I have the 8th edition of Lial Intermediate Algebra text (ISBN 9780321036469) and solutions manual (9780321062000). I will sell them for $12.00ppd media mail including delivery confirmation. Lisa
  8. I've used VCFTHSS ISBN 1567651151 or 9781567651157 (both ISBNs are the same book). An answer key and tests/answer key are also available separately. I've found the prices are best purchasing directly from AMSCO.
  9. If anyone has further thoughts, then please keep posting. :001_smile: Lisa
  10. Given I hear R&S 9 and 10 focus on writing, what do you suggest for grammar reinforcement beyond R&S 8? My boys will be finished studying Latin and Greek but will be studying their modern languages (French and Spanish). Thanks! Lisa
  11. Pros? Cons? How long have you owned it? How many loads per week? Repairs? If yes, then what was repaired? Which model do you have? Thanks! Lisa
  12. Do the DVDs simply repeat the text? Or do they enhance/supplement it? Thank you, Lisa
  13. I have the 2nd edition. Would the co-op schedule at Donna Young's site work for my son at home (not in a co-op)? Thanks, Lisa
  14. My son will be 15.5yo when he begins studying French. He has finished Henle I and is currently studying one year of Greek with Athenaze. I studied two years of French in high school in the late 1970's and still feel somewhat familiar with the language. He is a very independent learner, so a program that is largely self-study would be great for him. Lisa
  15. Although currently the engineering son is using Jacobs geometry (3rd ed) between Saxon alg 1 and 2.
  16. Heather - have you used this for high school? I see that different levels/packages are available. Which have you used? Thank you for this suggestion.
  17. This is for my soon-to-be 10th grader who has finished all of Henle Latin I. Thanks, Lisa
