I don’t know about EFT but to help develop impulse control, one method that might help is to set up intentional situations where you practice impulse control. Delaying eating a treat would work. Putting off a fun event until a chore or task is complete. The key is to “exercise” control, while imagining eating the treat or having fun later. You can read more about this in Richard Davidson’s book The Emotional Life of Your Brain, in chapter 11.
Also, scheduling and monitoring tech time is a helpful skill to learn. I use the Moments app myself and try to keep my daily time low.
