  1. The other day I picked up Chemical Guys VRP 107. Today I watched a YT tutorial from Chem Guys using VRP 107 AND Clear Liquid Extreme Shine (don't know number). It was informative but it seems these products yield the same or similar results. I really don't want to spend the extra TIME and money on another product that seems to be the same as vrp 107. C Guys will, of course, support the use and market another product because well, that's another sale but I don't think it's necessary. VRP is water-based and used on interior and exterior and Extreme Shine is oil-based for "heavy coat of conditioning and restoration" was used on exterior of video but I don't know if it can be used on interior? This man running the tutorial actually used Nonsense Invisible Super Cleaner as the 1st step on the exterior then proceeded with using the Extreme Shine. What do you say?

    Pray NOW

Oh my! Just now seeing this Sat eve. What's the update! So sorry to hear that!
  3. Last month I found my 2nd sand dollar when dh and I went to beach to celebrate my birthday! I put the order in last week to have it framed in a shadow box!
  4. OK toocrazy, tell me if this links open for you. It's a link to last year's discussion on car detailing - very insightful. In one of the replies is the small tool. Here is last year's thread link: Amazon.com : Ruri's Portable Lint Remover, Clothes Fuzz Shaver - Reusable Double Sided Lint Remover Travel Brush for Removing Lint Pet Hair Dust in Clothes and Furniture (2 Pack) FYI, it took me about 1-2 hours to use this tool on all parts carpet in my Highlander. Not a large suv and not small, but mid-sized. So worth the $10 or whatever it is now!
  5. Thanks for that! It seems there are more solutions than I originally thought. YAY!
  6. I should really find out who suggested that fine tooth "comb" (Pawz, was it you?). I used it this morning. I used our shop vac to get loose debris then I went back over carpeted areas and used that comb to pick up Shiloh's hair! WOW! It really does work! Wanted to share my testimonial on that! Amazon 2 combs for maybe $10. So worth it!
  7. Thanks everyone! Heartstrings, very discerning of your dh. I'll explain in a minute. Laura C, yes, very discerning for you as well. I spoke with Smart Core a couple of weeks ago (manufacturer for laundry room floor. we had a different manuf for our kitchen floor but BOTH are lvp). They suggested Zep. And, I did speak with a in-store Lowe's sales associate. He said his customers swear by white distilled vinegar. Well, we had the installation company rep out this Friday morning as there were a few, sloppy errors in installation. DH and I went over our list and I asked him about cleaning. When I told him about the white distilled vinegar he said yes, that is safe. He said any acidity is below a threatening level. It's miniscule. He did say, as did the Lowe's sales assoc, to dilute with water. Rep today confirmed using a small bit of dish detergent mixed with water. I saw on Google that Dawn Platinum works. Again, just a tad bit in to the water. Apparently, Mrs. Meyers clean day dishwarshing liquid can be used too. I would need to do more homework to find out difference b/t Mrs. M and Dawn. So, there are possibly 2 more cost-effective options in Mrs. M and Dawn in addition to white distilled vinegar. He said NOT to use hot or cold water. Warm is desired and a microfiber mop, not cotton mop because you do not want to leave water on floor. It needs to be dried up.
  8. Thanks, Pawz, but I'm thinking based on what they said it might be too harsh. ??? I'm going to add above which might explain it more.
  9. Yes, we finally had our kitchen and laundry room floors replaced with lvp. When I inquired after the installation about cleaning the sales associate was at a loss for words. I do not want to break warranty and I know some chemicals/cleansers are harsh, acidic, etc but what do you use on your luxury vinyl flooring? I could just use water, I know, but for some reason I feel like it needs a bath 🙂 some kind of cleanser. We used 2 different manufacturers for the rooms. One is Stainmaster and the other Core (what's the full name?). Stainmaster which is Lowe's was not insightful but Core something manufacturer said to use Zep. ?? What say you? Thanks! ETA: Remembered the sales associate did say customers swear by using white distilled vinegar diluted. When I proposed that to one of the manufacturers they said that the cleanser MUST be ph neutral so it will NOT dull shine on floor material.
  10. What the heck is that all about? I'm wanting to "KEEP" my threads to refer to them again. Most recently Shiloh's toys/games... and mop thread. Moderator, any insight?
  11. Great pics! Thanks for showing the action. That's great your pup is enjoying it! I will consider this for Shi. I have never heard of a flirt toy until you mentioned it here. It's basically a cat teaser, adapted for a dog. LOL! Who would have guessed!? It will be interesting to see if she'll like it. Thanks much - appreciated!
  12. I like your idea; kudos for the creativity! Understand now! What I like about this toy is that it is perfect for inside on a rainy or snowy day. This would add well to others in her toy collection. It looks like a relatively easy toy to make and inexpensive which is always a plus b/c who wants to keep buying toys for a 5 minute play time, right?!?!! 🙂 THANKS much for uploading the pic - very thoughtful of you. And, appreciate the idea!
  13. Thank you. I am looking something in-person. I could see a refresher course on-line but Shi would benefit from in-person.
  14. LOL! I'm dreaming of cold and snow! Miss the snow! We have heat almost year round. Some years we have a winter, but NC runs warm. Would love to go to a cabin in the snowy rocky mountains and revisit skiing! Would love to go back to UP of MI (upper peninsula of Michigan). Would like to travel to TX and surrounding areas as well as west during cooler weather months. Would love to return to ME and visit VT, Delaware, Connecticut. Would like to return to Canada for a visit. List continues....
  15. Yes, a reminder of playing tether ball on the pole. Instead of a ball, attach a treat dispensing toy. Just wondering if that would even "really" work. Flirt pole? Never heard of that. Do you attach a toy or something to bat around? The bike attachment I've hesitated on. I really do not want her to pull me and I take a fall! Need to YT the tutorials for that as well. 🙂
  16. LOL! I researched, about this time last year, buying an outdoor agility course. More room for her to spread out and sprint. I didn't follow through. Am researching what Pinball and others suggested and that is courses, classes which offer this elsewhere. Although dh and I are interested in seeing if we can make that zip line idea work. Shiloh jumps well and I noticed when she jumps in an activity/game, she tires more quickly. That stands to reason but it is truly amazing to see. A walk is good but not enough for her. I would film her outside because I have no doubt she'd do well. But, I don't know about me teaching her. A professional would be better at it. Thinking here - maybe I'll look at some YT tutorials. 🙂 How adorable! DH grew up with a shepherd. He loved that dog. So, you're getting used to the rope and at 100' he has a generous space to run, etc. It's the anchoring I'm not sure about how that would work for us. Shiloh is incredibly strong/muscular. Even though she's made great progress from my training to stay in front yard (tethered) by a 6' rope, I'd like a longer one. I know that seems like going backwards but it's not right now. I need a longer lead for large grassy areas like a park or such and training/playing with her there. That looks awesome. It seems like many of their classes are on-line. Right? And, in person is in CA? I'm researching now to see if there is anything like that here in NC! Thanks!
  17. Thanks! LOL we're both jumping back and forth b/t this and Shi's thread. OK, not worried so much about seeing streaks (little, sure) but just don't want for us slip.
  18. Right. I don't mind going for a walk in a gentle rain but not a downpour. We've just had so much. Now, snow, I'll go out in anytime but we seldom have it here in NC. The super hot days are just that - TOO HOT! Just need to have backup. Let me rephrase, we go out in super hot days but not for a power walk mid day. Maybe morning but it will still be quite warm and on many days here in the summer, muggy. I tolerate cool better than hot. 🙂
  19. YES! I can't believe you suggested this! I've been on the search locally for a flat lead. Found several on Amazon a couple of weeks ago but haven't ordered that yet as we are adding to our cart. Did you extend full out the 100' with you 2 at opposing ends to show him visually of the distance separation between you 2? Also, does he full throttle run BEYOND the 100'? If so, is he anchored to an object (tree) or your hand? I would be concerned with rope burns which Shi accidentally gave me when she was a puppy. What breed is Sam? OK, I checked on those. I am gathering several games, toys, techniques for her and rotate through so she doesn't get bored playing with the same 1 thing. LOL! I like the above. Thanks!
  20. Adding here - so sorry I'm not responding until now. My laptop was acting wonky for 24 hours so this is the first opportunity I've had to reply. Secondly, I really like these ideas! Thank you all so much. Lastly, dh mentioned we could fashion something on the zipline outside. We have a 20 foot zipline. Attach another line holding something like a Kong treat toy and watch her "bat" at it. It will move and she'll get that exercise of running back and forth on zipline. Does this sound reasonable? Or, no? ETA: I took Bibiophile's suggestion for the Target toy. It looks like a large egg! Shiloh had the best time playing with it yesterday. 25-30 minutes of non-stop running/chasing. She was panting a bit so it was definitely a great workout! Kudos to you, Bibliophile! Thanks!
  21. Innisfree, thanks for this! Will research over the weekend. I do have many good ideas but I like your idea equally. Hope there is such a group locally. Really like these ideas! If I remember I'll report back what I find. If able to join will try to let y'all know progress Shi and I have made. I do agree with you on all points re: philosophy and by all means I do want Shi to have an enjoyable time!
  22. OK, great. Thanks for that! Wow, chewing through a Kong! I looked yesterday for the Kong but Target didn't have one. Will try pet store this weekend. Will monitor Shi to make sure she doesn't "eat" Kong! Like your idea and am now making a similar plan!
