Is Real Science 4Kids any good? Thanks!
We couldn't stand Real Science 4Kids. It was a real bummer when it arrived after we had looked so forward to it. Best way I can describe why we hated it is it tried to look like it had alot of information in it, but really that's about all it was, looked like it had alot of information wasn't very deep in my opinion. We were so disappointed we sold it the next day.

Real Science 4 Kids- couldn't stand it. I'd looked forward to getting when I first read about it when my ds was in 1st. Waited and waited till he was old enough, finally got to order, then it finally came, open the box look through it and go"this is it?" I was so dissappointed. Sold it the next day.

Thanks for the reply. :001_smile: I thought of a couple more questions. What grades would you say these are for? Also, how do these compare to the Young Scientist Club? Do they contain more information? Thanks again.:001_smile:

Has anybody tried these? They look great, but the price seems insane? :confused:Are they worth it? How quickly do you go through them? How heavily do you need to supplement them or do they contain a good solid amount of the info the child needs to learn? Thanks.:001_smile:

Okay don't know if where you are going if you can use a campfire, but one of my favorite things to do when we go. is use a dutch oven and cook over fire or coals. You can make all kinds of things that way, breads, cakes, cinnamon rolls, one pot meals, you name it. I always pre chop everything before we go and stick in baggies and freeze things that can be frozen an have two coolers one for frozen items and one for things that stay refrigerated. Works great. I'd be happy to send you a few recipes if you wanted just pm me. Hope that helps. Have a great vacation.:001_smile:

Consignment shops and Kohl's. They are my shopping musts, and I hate clothes shopping with a horrid passion.
:iagree:

I hope it's not anything targeting or trying to attack homeschooling in general, I just thought it was interesting that it was just a few days after the article on the German family that there was an article on homeschool curriculum choices and if it's okay that some homeschoolers teach that way.

Hello. In trying to plan for next year I need a little help planning out books to read. We will be using Sotw 3 and I'd like to use alot of the suggested literature form the activity guide, but I wont know what those are until I get the activity guide and I'd like to order everything at the same time. So could anybody tell me some of the ones listed in the ag? Thanks.:001_smile:

I was thinking of getting this for ds, but I know they have a flying saucer kit that he would really enjoy. My question is in the 100 or 300 kit do you make a flying saucer or would I have to purchase it separately? Thanks:001_smile:

 Thanks so much. It's the artisian bread in 5 minutes pumpernickel recipe that I use it in so that is perfect.:001_smile:

Hi. I was looking at getting one of those electronic math fact practice things, so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. I've heard of Math Shark, Flashmaster, and Math Whiz, any feedback on any of these? Know of any others? Thanks!:)

Taste of Home website has a good slow cooker corned beef and cabbage recipe.:)

Glad to know I'm not the only geek out there. When I told my dh I wanted to do this you'd have thought I had something growing out of my head. Thanks for all the ideas. Any others?:)
