Gingersnap
How do you make a transcript if you don't have a program such as Microsoft Word to create one? Is a handwritten one okay or unprofessional? My daughter will need one for Vo-Tech next Fall. She graduates this June from our homeschool. Barb_
Head to the library or borrow someone's computer? As a last resort, purchase Microsoft Office and install in on your computer. Your instincts are correct; a handwritten transcript isn't professional and wouldn't be well received. I think a printed transcript is a non-negotiable. If that doesn't work, I'll just have to purchase Microsoft Word and install it on my PC.
periwinkle
I bookmarked this site a few years ago: http://www.teascript.com and obviously didn't use it, but I think it allows you to create your transcript online using their programming. The final product is in PDF format; you may want to take a look.

I had everything listed and found out at the end that you have to upgrade to their $20 a year program to list more than 24 courses for the high school years. We have more than 24 courses and so this did not work for us. Just want to let others know in case you do like me and get to the end and get cut off asking you to upgrade. Off to the library..... angela in ohio
If you end up having to get Office, we have the educator version, which (as far as I can tell) is the same, but is much cheaper. We just had to say we were homeschoolers.
Kareni
You might find this site helpful as it has transcripts in html, pdf and word formats. See: http://www.chasesc.com/forms.html Also look here: http://www.covenant.edu/admissions/trad/adm/home/hs_guidelines.php I hope this might help. Gwen in TX
http://www.covenant.edu/admissions/t...guidelines.php They have a blank one you can fill in and print out. (They also have a filled in transcript that shows you what it should look like).
Chris in VA
Thirding Covenant! It's what we are using, with an attached reading list. If they ask for course descriptions and/or curriculum lists, we have those on stand-by.
