Pen
Not sure if this should go here or in afterschooling, but my ds is in BMS school this year taking a physical science class for 9th grade science. They are currently focusing on chemistry. We could use having some home reference book to look in to help. Currently they are working on ionic compared to molecular compounds, and on being able to name compounds based on the chemical formula and vice versa. Their current materials are from POGIL, Activities for High School Chemistry.

EKS
Perhaps the CPO Physical Science book or Conceptual Physical Science (either the Explorations version or the regular one--Explorations is a bit easier as it is for 9th and 10th graders).
