hjffkj
Help me pick winter/snow boots. I have thick calves so keep that in mind. I'm looking at sheep skinned lined shoes but don't really know how much I care. I want a durable boot that will last years and can be worn in the snow and just the cold days of winter. Thanks
hornblower
for hard core snow & durability I'd go for something by Kamik. Maybe something from the Metro series. There are several styles which have adjustable lacing over your calf. http://www.kamik.com/b2c_ca_en/women-boots-metro.html
gardenmom5
If I lived in an area with real winters - and especially one with real cold (I'm in a temperate zone. it's currently 50 degrees. severe cold snap is lows in the teens/single digits or snow more than an inch or two for the entire winter - is an every few years thing. maybe.) - I would get myself a pair of steger mukluks. (mukluks.com). they are warm, the way the inner bootie works they can be adjusted for temperature, and incredibly durable. you can wear them every day of a severe winter and they will last several years.
