mo2
Anyone have suggestions for an elementary math program that is FUN and gets the job done?
Farrar
Check out Soror's relaxed math thread: http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/499692-looking-to-do-some-relaxed-math-here-want-to-share-ideas/ In terms of a core program, I think it depends on the kid a lot. For some kids, something like Right Start with all its manipulatives, is "fun" but for other kids, being able to just go algorithms like Saxon is much more "fun." So... what are you using now that's not fun and how old?

Pronghorn
Life of Fred. I haven't done the elementary stuff with our daughter, but the pre-algebra and beginning algebra have been wonderful for us. My daughter has decided she kind of likes math, which is earth-shaking. And she scored well on a standardized test at the beginning of this year.
