If you have a Chevy Traverse and multiple car seats...

where do you put them in the vehicle?

I have a Traverse, and after making this last trip with 3 grandbabies and 2 dds (which we do fairly often), I'm about to lose my mind, and am thinking of going ahead and getting another Suburban.

With 2 outboard car seats in the middle row, a human can't really fit in the middle. For that matter, with the positioning of the seat belt latches, a normal sized human can't fit in the middle of the middle anyway, which defeats my plan to use it as a 5-seater and keep the back seats down for cargo (when not traveling with more people of course).

Anyway, help! I just don't know what to do, or what other vehicle can comfortably seat 8.

We have an Acadia so similar to the traverse. We have found that while I can squeeze 3 boosters (not car seats) in the third row, no one can buckle then. We use 2 car seats or boosters when needed in the back and an older smaller non car seat child in between. We have captains chairs in the middle so a non issue there.

I thought the the Suburban was the same width as the Traverse…..just longer with more cargo space.  Could be wrong here, but if you are looking for a wider car than the Traverse……I'm not certain they make those.  Just ones that are longer.

IMO, there's not too many vehicles that fit eight comfortably.  There's vehicles that SAY they fit eight (they must mean they fit lots of tiny people).  But, the Traverse is actually top of my list for fitting eight without being too long (which I don't like).

I'm sorry I wasn't helpful at all to you.  :(  I feel your pain with trying to drive around lots of people.
