littleWMN
My 6 year old is going to be auditioning for a local homeschool drama group this week. We need a brief monologue/poem and a song for her to audition with. We've got the song covered, but I'm having trouble coming up with an appropriate monologue. I was painfully shy as a kid so acting would have been my worst nightmare, but she's excited. ;)

myfunnybunch
When my ds auditioned for a musical, the director (also his choir director) suggested he recite something by Shel Silverstein. :) Have fun! Cat
Joyofsixreboot
Not to hijack, but my 1st grader is trying out for a local musical Monday. What song did you choose. Ours is to be short so I'm thinking Jesus Loves Me but would like other ideas.
littleWMN
Thank you!! I'll be looking at those. Thinking maybe a poem. It's tomorrow so we gotta get on it. :tongue_smilie: She's naturally good at this though so shouldn't be too hard. The song we chose was from a Barbie movie, of all things. :D It's from Diamond Castle and I think it's called "Connected".
