Guest smills18080
Just wanted to share some really good news about my son. We live in Pennsylvania and each year he has to get evaluated at the end of the school year. Well, we went today and the evaluator felt that he had enough credits to graduate this year. We thought so but, wasn't sure until the evaluator said so. Anyway, the amazing thing about this is that my son is only 15!:D Susan
Tree House Academy
Great! Congrats to your son...and to you. I graduated when I was 17, but not 15. What are his plans going forward?
Ruthie
That is fantastic! Congratulations!! I live in PA, too, how did you do it? Do you just start keeping a transcript earlier? Is your son just a genius? Ruthie

Guest smills18080
We plan on having him take some community college courses and clep tests for at least the next year. Ruthie, as far as how we did it, he did two years in one. We did the Mason-Dixon Homeschoolers' Association diploma program. They give you different ways to earn your diploma. kate in seattle
congrats to you and your son! even though he has enough credits might you want to NOT graduate him? my kids had lots of credits but i thought it didn't hurt to keep that high school status until it was very clear what their next step would be. some colleges are less than thrilled about gap years and some (many?)scholarships are not available for transfer students (which i think he would be if he 'graduated' and then did CC courses). Just something to think about.

Piano&ViolinMom
even though he has enough credits might you want to NOT graduate him? Kate, I agree with you absolutely . It’s easy for us to offer her Congratulations…….but……. Hope Susan listens to your thought carefully and research further.
catsluvsushi
Congratulations! Question: Did he want to graduate early? I love CLEP testing so I think that is a wonderful route and certainly something he can do now that he has "graduated" high school. So he can still be at home but earning college credit. Very cool!
