Cricket
I was very glad to see Desmond didn't die. We will still get to hear his accent. :) Did anyone catch the reference to the Black Rock?
Moxie
I was glad he finally made contact with Penny but I really don't like *time travel* shows. I really hope that isn't the direction that they will be taking. Melissa
Mama Lynx
Well, I think it's clear that the island exists in some sort of time anomaly. Wow, what an episode! That was fantastic. I love it when they confuse the heck out of me. I'm so glad that Desmond and Penny made contact. So there's a time anomaly associated with the island ... it runs on a different time. Moving through the barrier incorrectly can really mess up your brain. And Penny's Daddy collects Black Rock memorabilia. Hmmm.
Cricket
I wonder if the journal from the Black Rock is how Penny found the island. I still don't know how she figures into this. She told Charlie that the boat wasn't hers but why and how was she calling it?
Kay in Cal
We just finished watching, and loved the episode! So, is Desmond back to his "old self" now (ie, does he remember the intervening years), or did he just stop himself from dying but is still missing that time? Also, we had what seemed like a blip at the end of the show--the journal page turns to the "Desmond Hume will be my constant" page (or whatever the wording was), and then we just had black... was there anything else that happened in the seconds before the LOST logo came up? I was hoping maybe another page....
Elisabeth in IL
We just finished watching, and loved the episode! So, is Desmond back to his "old self" now (ie, does he remember the intervening years), or did he just stop himself from dying but is still missing that time? I'm assuming that he remembers everything as he called Sayid by his name at the end when he said it was enough time with Penny. But I'm confused..... I don't remember Desmond saying anything about the army in his past flashbacks. I thought that he broke up with Penny and pretty much went on his sailing trip to win money and the respect of her father? Also Desmond was flash forwarding after the accident/ blow up... Does that stop now too or just the flash backwards that he was experiencing? Why would going backward kill him but not his visions going forward? Hmmmmm

Hmmmmm I think he remembers everything now too since he remember Sayid and told Penny that he had been on the island. There was mention in earlier episodes about his time in the Army. I don't know about him seeing the future! I don't think it was connected to this. He hasn't seen the future since Charlie died, has he? Kate CA
He hasn't seen the future since Charlie died, has he? No, he hasn't. I also think that most of his flashes to the future all had to do with Charlie, didn't they? We just now watched this. What a great episode!
