Jean in Newcastle
No, this isn't about depression. I mean blues music. Ds11 wants me to get him some blues music from the library. I looked but they had 199 pages of blues CDs in the library catalog and I don't know the first thing about this genre of music. So can you recommend any specific blues singers or CDs? i.love.lucy
Does he like blues guitar? Jazzy blues singers? Old-time or more modern? It's like saying "my son wants some rock music". The genre is too broad. My dh loves Johnny Lang. Young guy, made it big w/in the last 10 years when he was only 16. Something mainstream like Eric Clapton is good. Stevie Ray Vaughn is considered Texas blues. Howlin' Wolf - The London Sessions is good for old-time blues. Muddy Waters too. Gotta watch the lyrics tho. A lot about drinking and loose women! ;) There's a lot out there that's instrumental too. Let us know a little about what you're looking for. Jean in Newcastle
Ds says blues guitar and/or jazzy blues singers. Does that narrow it down a little bit?
