Soph the vet
Yes, this is the same house that was raided last June. The owner of the house moved out about two weeks ago....and turned the heat off. The temps here have been highs in the negative numbers at times during the last two weeks. I mean, we're in Minnesota for crying out loud!! No one turns off their heat in the winter. Well, a pipe burst in the kitchen, flooded the whole house and the city finally turned off the water after I called the police to "escort" them into the home. Another neighbor went in with them to assess the damage, very bad. And the police and city worker would not turn the heat on. So now all that water is frozen. So my question is was the owner just ignorant or is this an insurance fraud deal?
Jean in Newcastle
Maybe ignorant. Maybe just doesn't care. Maybe the bank owns it anyway and they're letting it get ruined and then foreclose. If the house was raided it doesn't sound like the kind of people who keep a "to do" list of home maintenance!
