kalanamak Posted January 13, 2009 Share Posted January 13, 2009 I don't know about the Wichita area, but some counties in Kansas have very much loved County Historical Museums. I know Chase county does. If the weather wasn't bad, and you aren't from the Plains States, I'd find a frozen creek to wander up and down. Or go bird watching out at a lake. This is a must see! : http://www.worldtreasures.org/ My boys love it. If you tell them you are a homeschool mom they will give you the educator discount on your ticket. They have a worksheet for the kiddos to fill out and get a small prize at the end. My boys (7 & 9) love it but as adults we also enjoyed it. It has everything from dinosaurs to WWII info.
