Gwenny
My 5.5 year old dd got a castle for Christmas that she LOVES. Anyone have any good recommendations for books with castles in them for this age. I'm looking for fictional chapter books, but if you know of any easy reader or first grade level books, that would be great too. I searched and found the The Castle in the Attic but I don't know if that is too hard for her age or not. Something with magic or a little violence is OK too. Thanks, Gwen
Jumping In Puddles
Which Castle did she get? My 5 year old loves Kingfisher Castles and Forts. Are you only looking for fiction? If not, that is a good one! :)
Gwenny
She got the Imaginarium castle (from toys "R" us). It's huge and takes up half the living room (dh's idea)! And non-fiction books would be good too. Gwen
Kristiana
My 5 and 7 yos really enjoyed Castle Diary about a 7yo who goes to be a page in his uncle's castle. Right now we're enjoying Stephen Biesty's Cross-Sections Castles. HTH, We just finished Knights and Castles with SOTW 2 but nothing else comes to mind at present. Chris in VA
I second Castle Diary. It's a must read in my house!
Lady Q
These are more about knights than castles, but how about: The Knight at Drawn (Magic Treehouse #2) Good Night, Good Knight (easy reader about a knight and three little dragons, very cute) We also liked: A Medieval Feast by Aliki This castles pop-book
