Letter Tiles App

I’m starting AAS for the first time and wanted to use the app vs the physical tiles for convenience. I’ve read many homeschooler reviews saying that the app is wonderful, but I’m wondering why it’s rated so poorly in the App Store.

I think it depends on what you are using it on. We have been very successful using it on a newer Kindle Fire, but I can't imagine using it in a phone, for example. 

For me, it's been worth every penny and I have no complaints.

I prefer word wizard.. Because it gives the sound of the letter when tapped. But I am working with boys with learning disabilities

I think the app is great and much better than the tiles.  We use it on an iPad though.   It would be terrible on an iPhone!  (You need a lot of space.). 

 

FYI....  The All About Spelling app does let you hear the sound of each letter (and more importantly each multi-letter phonogram) when tapped.   You hold down on the tile if I recall correctly.    And you need to use an actual Orton Gillingham set of letter tiles with AAS or LOE or you risk confusion.

Recently they did an upgrade to the app and it messed with a few of the features. I think they fixed it all but that may be the reason for poor reviews
