Jean in Newcastle
My 14 year old cat has fairly severe patella luxation in both knees. It gets triggered every time he jumps down from something (which I just can't keep him from doing). I see some braces for dogs on Amazon for their hind legs, hips and patellas. But while I have both a dog and cat I don't really know if their leg anatomy is similar enough to try to use a dog brace on a cat. Or if there is a way to tape up the cat to provide him with some extra support. (Surgery won't happen. He's 14. The vets kept missing this problem despite me mentioning the issue to them for YEARS. And the cat is on palliative care because he's not making red blood cells. My goal here is to support him and to make him more comfortable and less in pain. He's on 3 pain meds so that parts covered.)
