ktgrok
So, several doctors now have mentioned that I should be taking magnesium, because I'm on a PPI. I bought some, took it now and then, forgot, ran out, etc. You know how it goes. Lately it finally hit me that hello, magnesium is also linked to anxiety/depression, which has been worse lately, insomnia, fatigue, heart issues, etc. So um, yeah....between some heart palpitations post covid, insomnia, anxiety, and muscles feeling just like they won't relax/tight/sore maybe I actually SHOULD be taking this more seriously, lol. So, I have Magnesium glycinate capsules, 120mg per capsule of magnesium. I THINK doctor said as a general idea to take 200mg a day, about, just because I'm on a PPI. Does that sound right? I see them again in a week, but wanted to start now. Any other thoughts? I do take epsom salt baths most evenings as well. scholastica
240-250mg is the upper limit for women for magnesium, so that should be your target. You could ask the doctor if you should take more for a bit until you’re back at normal levels. Magnesium glycinate is great for muscles, as well.
