ktgrok
My niece has some pretty significant food issues - only eats a handful of foods - and refuses all mutlivitamins that are chewable. She can now swallow pills, not huge ones, but small ones, and my sister wants to get her a multivitamin. I'm guessing she needs something small and odorless - so many vitamins smell horrid! Any suggestions? I figure the hive should know this one!
gardenmom5
Do pay attention to the quality of the multi (many are not very good quality). If she does tablets - make sure they actually dissolve. (they should dissolve within 10 minutes in a glass of water. Or less than that in lemon juice. - yes, I've had tablets that did NOT. I like Emerald labs - they are capsules which you can pull apart and sprinkle on something. They have no odor I've noticed, and dudeling (who is very sensitive to smells) has never complained about them. My dd gives her dogs multis - she smashes them with a mortal and pestle because, even though they are supposed to be chewable, they won't eat them whole. Then she just mixes it in with their kibble and whatever she puts on it.
