PeterPan
They're buy Ursula Vernon and I guess since he's listening on audio he didn't realize he was supposed to be put off by the pink and purple covers and female protagonists. He says they're great! I *think* maybe they're spoofs on fairy tales or something. There are a bunch of books in the series and apparently they stand pretty well alone too, meaning they could be read out of order. https://www.amazon.com/Hamster-Princess-Whiskerella-Ursula-Vernon/dp/0399186557/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=whiskerella&qid=1570762273&sr=8-1 https://www.amazon.com/Hamster-Princess-Little-Rodent-Hood/dp/0399186581/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=whiskerella&qid=1570762273&sr=8-

Lecka
The books might be fun too, I think they are like Dragonbreath and have a lot of pictures and fonts. Or maybe he would also like Dragonbreath. It has been a while but they were coming out when my older son was at the right age and they were a popular series.
