Here it is, good info about phonemics proficiency, his book Equipped for Reading Success is worth getting and using, use his PAST test to see if you need it or not.

Thank you! I've been using Kilpatrick's book, Equipped for Reading Success, this year. My students were resistant at first, but now they've got the hang of it! It's really fascinating to see them progress through the levels. Now they've started asking ME Kilpatrick-style questions, all more ridiculous than the last. "Mainer, say 'platypus.' Now say 'platypus' again but don't say 't'."  Hee hee.

I don't think I can say platypus without a t!
