gardenmom5
my sil has a tapestry she purchased in the 70s that she thinks dates to the 18th century. (oh, but it's 'dated' 1792.) she now wants to sell it, so I have been tasked with finding an appraiser. (she doesn't have internet.) frankly - I'm skeptical it's really that old - I did have it in my house for several years. among the reasons; the clerks in the shop were giggling about how much she spent after she bought it (as reported by her. she claims it's because they were too stupid to know what they had - great. big. eye. roll.),
TheReader
I wonder if a quilt appraiser/antique quilt appraiser would be a good choice &/or have resources for that? Or a museum in her area, if there's any that have displays of tapestries and such?
