Erica in PA
Looking for some creative ideas for my 10, 8, 5, 2 year olds to enhance their understandings of Thanksgiving. Just bumping this up because I am looking for ideas too! I would like to do some fun Thanksgiving things in the early part of next week. Crafts or more academic Thanksgiving ideas would be much appreciated!
Carrie12345
I found this link interesting. http://www.halcyon.com/pub/FWDP/Americas/tchthnks.txt I haven't figured out exactly what I'm going to do with it yet, but I'm letting the info "marinate" in my head until Friday, when I try to hammer out a real plan. chiguirre
This year we're reading Sarah Morton's Day, Tapenum's Day, Samuel Eaton's Day and The Harvest Feast of 1621. They all have wonderful pictures of Plimouth Plantation. I've also got Desperate Crossings, a History Channel docudrama about the Pilgrims. I don't know why my kids love this show, but they've asked to see it twice. I plan to let the kids help make the pumpkin pie and corn pudding this year. They've been talking about the Pilgrims quite a bit and even incorporating them into their play, so I'm happy.
