wed1998
I would very much appreciate recommendations for really good online honors or AP Physics classes for a STEM student. I am especially interested in providers that do not have a lot of 'busy work' associated with their courses. Thanks!
8filltheheart
Has the student already completed a physics course? Last yr for my Dd I combined GPB physics semester 1 and 2 with Kinetic Books' physics.
8filltheheart
Should have specified I took that approach with my Dd who did not have any prior background with physics.

Not honors or AP, but I'm mentioning it because I'm not entirely clear on what the student's background or needs are: my daughter, who is entering her junior year in a tough electrical engineering program at a selective college, used Apologia physics in high school, along with a lab organized by volunteer co-op teachers. She got a 700+ on the SAT physics subject test in the 9th grade, and has excelled in all university physics classes. All that to say that it was a fine class without a lot of busywork that I can recall, though not one people typically think about for their future STEM kids. TarynB
Derek Owens' physics offers an honors option that others have given very positive reviews. (Unfortunately he doesn't offer AP Physics.)
MarkT
please also look at: there are some reviews there - I wish folks would add more!

Which AP are you looking for C or the 1&2 series? By the way, if you take AP Physics 1 and/or 2 college STEM majors do not get credit for this class. My DS took AP Physics 1 and 2 as an "honors" type algebra based Physics but he did not take either AP exam. He starts his Honors Calculus based Physics 1 Mechanics class on Aug 20th.
