DesertBlossom
My tentative plans for DD (6th grade) is to have her do Jousting Armadillos and then AoPS Pre-Algebra. I'm looking at the JA book and not sure how to use it. Is this a one year program? There are 38 lessons in it, which is roughly 1 lesson per week. But is that kind of slow? Is it doable in one semester? If your child completed JA did they work on a certain number of problems each day? Or for a certain length of time? I need more guidance here... Plagefille
We did a certain amount of time. It took her a year, but she is a slow worker so it could go quicker.
Clear Creek
Each lesson can be completed in a day; the book is not meant to take a whole year to complete. My oldest did AOPS prealgebra four days a week and JA on Friday for a change of pace. She could do a JA lesson in about 45 minutes.
