daijobu
When submitting applications on the Common App, does a student: (1) Submit one time for all colleges at once? or (2) Submit each application individually. If you are applying to 5 colleges, then you would click the submit button 5 times, once for each college? or (3) Submit the common app essay one time and then submit each college's supplementary materials separately? Thank you. I'm trying to wrap my mind around the overall process, and while I'm poking around the CA, it isn't becoming obvious to me. Julie of KY
I don't remember all the details, but I know we submitted each college separately. All the information remains in the common app so you just have to do any supplementary info. I know we submitted some colleges early and then waited on an early decision. My son had filled out the information for other schools but never submitted it as he was accepted ED.
GoodGrief
Submit separately. The student can actually change up the essay for different schools if desired.
JanetC
You have to submit separately because you have to pay the application fees each time.
