crazyforlatin
Since we're not able to take Roman History with Lukeion and Mrs. Barr mentioned those taking that class tend to do better on AP Latin, I was hoping someone could recommend some Roman history books. Or if someone has taken that class and can provide some links the class required as reading material (is that allowed?), that would be very helpful. eagleynne
Dorothy Mills' Book of the Ancient Romans is a nice overview. Memoria Press has them along with a study guide that might prove useful. Daily Life in the Roman City by Aldrete is good. Everyday Life in Ancient Rome by Casson is short but informative.
mumto2
Take a look at the AP Latin section at College Board. Along with a sample syllabus there should be a recommended textbook section. Sorry I can't link right now.

I see that this link has the required reading material, https://apstudent.collegeboard.org/apcourse/ap-latin/course-details/required-reading-list, but I haven't yet found an optional reading list, even within the PDF for AP Latin course description. It must be that any history book will do.

This is an AP we started but gave up on because no test location.https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/courses/ap-latin/course Edited August 25, 2017 by mumto2
