TABmom
More than anything, my 7 yo daughter wants "stuff to make jewelry" for her birthday. We have bought several of the kit-type things, but the quality is awful. I would like to build a kit for her, buying larger, better beads than come in those kits, but I am *not* a crafty person so I'm looking for ideas of what exactly to buy at the craft store. Any ideas to share?
happi duck
The Klutz books used to have great instructions and materials. I can't still vouche for them since I haven't seen any of the new line since Scholastic took over. If you can look at any of their jewelry books in person you could add needed supplies of better quality/desired colors etc. Our craft store carries Klutz books. https://www.scholastic.com/kids/books/klutz/jewelry//
happi duck
In my limited experience: For beads, the ones that are a bit more expensive are a more consistent size and have neater holes. (Easier to get cord through.) Edited July 26, 2017 by happi duck
