MommyLiberty5013
can you recommend a shampoo that removes chlorine? And, ideally doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

MommyLiberty5013
Diluted vinegar What kind and how diluted? Could I bottle it and take it to the YMCA and leave it there in my locker for when I need it, or does it need to be used when it is mixed? Caia
Our Walmart sells Ultra Swim shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo is 7 ounces for around 4 bucks.
Petrichor
I use apple cider vinegar, and a plastic jar (peanut butter jar size). I fill the jar about an inch or two with vinegar, and add warm water in the shower to fill the jar most of the rest of the way up. rinse your skin with it. let the vinegar sit on your skin for about a bit (at least 10 seconds) before rinsing. Add essential oils if the vinegar smell bothers you (it might linger). It works for us to prevent/relieve itchiness. Doesn't need to be used once mixed, but it will be cold unless you add warm water.
MistyMountain
I have started young ultraswim shampoo and I am happy with it. It costs a little more then I would like to spend but the hair is no longer getting damaged and does not have that perpetual chlorine smell that is hard to wash out anymore. solascriptura
We buy liter bottles of the Swimmer's shampoo at Sally Beauty Supply. My kids swim year round and those little bottles get expensive and annoying to constantly repurchase.
Suzanne in ABQ
I always used Paul Mitchell Shampoo Three. You need a good conditioner to go along with it because it pretty much strips the hair.
