littlebug42
Does anyone have any recommendations for animation software that is reasonably priced for my daughter's PC? She is my 13 year old artist who is looking to expand into animation. I am not really interested in classes, just software for her to work independently. Thanks! Kuovonne
Maya, the software that professionals use, is free for students. However, it has a really steep learning curve. http://www.autodesk.com/products/maya/overview

lailasmum
Flipbook is another option. It's not free though the most basic option isn't too pricey. https://digicel.net
Spy Car
I'm no expert in this realm, but I am aware that the Japanese animation giant Studio Ghibli has released their professional-grade animation software as an open-sourced freeware package called Open Toonz. I'm sure the learning curve is steep, but it is a world-class software program free for the download with a world-wide user community. https://opentoonz.github.io/e/ Bill
