domestic_engineer
Is there a preferred order to read all the books written by Thornton Burgess? Is the "Animal" book a compilation of some of his earlier writings or new adventures? Thanks in advance!
shadah
I don't think there is a particular order. Characters appear in several different books, but the stories don't overlap.
CTVKath
We've read about 10 of "The Adventures of ____" books so far. The last paragraph of each book indicates which book is next. For example, in our current book - The Adventures of Sammy Jay - the book ends with the following: "You see, he was very much interested in the adventures of Buster Bear. And if you are interested in them too, you may read all about them in another book devoted wholly to the things that happened when Buster came to live in the Green Forest." Each book is stand alone and you wouldn't need to read them in any particular order. But we love them and I've gathered as many as available and with the above sort of lead in, we definitely follow the suggested order.
