Joyfullyblessed
Hello, I would love to hear thoughts on this particular science curriculum please. Do you feel that it would be a good fit for an 8th grader or should I go with something else? Thanks! :)
theelfqueen
I picked up the Astronomy textbook (only the student book ... probably far more complete with the teachers guide and lab book)... the material covered was decent but I felt overall it was a light book for middle school level... It was decent, well written and well organized (we used it for a supplement and focused on it for vocab practice and note taking... but used Crash Course Astronomy, misc other library texts and hands-on projects/labs). So, overall I'd say it's not a bad resource but for us was not enough to consider an age appropriate semester of work. They're "neutral" on religious issues (ie. they don't cover cosmology and ages)
weaver_67579
I would say they are light for that age. I use them at our local homeschool coop and use that level for 4-6 grades and the elementary for 1-3.
