wenti
My DS wants to self study AP Physics 1. I heard that the test is not easy. Any good textbooks or good online class?
Julie of KY
Physics Prep looks like a good online self-paced class (and auto-graded) class for any of the AP Physics. The videos, problems and solutions are all good. I would add some specific test prep. http://www.physics-prep.com/
Roadrunner
Who was it (Kathy in Richmond? I could be wrong) that mentioned that the new Algebra based AP exams were badly confusing and not well designed? PA Homeschoolers offers that class if you don't want to take the chance with self study.

regentrude
Just be aware that the AP Physics 1 exam will only give credit for algebra based physics which does not count towards the degree for almost all science or engineering majors (with the exception of biology at some colleges). Julie of KY
By the way, the PA homeschoolers class is by the same teacher (and much of the same materials) as the Physics Prep website I linked above.
mirabillis
I think it's the same class but without the lectures and discussion boards, etc. We were thinking of this for my ds' Physics credit. Love to hear others' experiences.
