itsmylife
DD (10 years) is starting to use the laptop more frequently. She has small hands and I worry if she is setting herself up for carpal tunnel. Do you have any suggestions for a keyboard and mouse? I plan on getting her a monitor and docking station for the laptop. TIA!
EmilyGF
No matter how ergonomic a keyboard is, it won't help if the general set up is not ergonomic. Most desks are too high for proper keyboarding. (Ask me how I know. Argh.) Emily
Arcadia
My dad likes the Microsoft ergonomic keyboard but the rest of us don't. I do find a wrist rest useful to rest my wrist. Hubby, my kids and I tend to type like we are playing the piano though. My hands are smaller than even my DS10's hands.
Jackie
Agreed with Emily. Desk and chair setup are far more important. As to the keyboard and mouse, we bought a Bluetooth keyboard meant for travel (so it's more compact than usual) for DD and it fits her tiny hands perfectly. She manages a regular mouse fine, but if it were too much to manage, I'd look at ones meant for laptops/travel.
