Miss Peregrine
I started a blog on pressure cooking. Today was my first attempt at it. If you'd like to take a look: Under Pressure

TraceyS/FL
OH cool! I could do that from those directions (i do not own a pressure cooker). How long does it last? OK, that is relative to how much they eat... but how long will it keep? Thanks!!
susie in tx
I love my pressure cooker. It's the only way I can make stock. I need to use it more often for other things, but I tend to use the crockpot instead.
Kanga
I love your sight, especially the step by step directions with pictures for us visual learners! So you really left the peels on? Do they completely mash up in the blender? Have you ever used this recipe to can applesauce? I can't wait to try this recipe, it looks really good. HRAAB
That is really nice. Now if someone could show me how to cook beans in the pressure cooker? Janet
jojomojo
It looks good! I'm using my pressure cooker right now. I cooked a whole chicken earlier, cleaned it, and now I've put all of the squidgies back in to make some stock :D

OK, that is relative to how much they eat... but how long will it keep? Thanks!! This recipe makes about 2 quarts. I like to freeze it in pint jars and take out what I need. Just leave headspace for expansion. The longest I would keep it in the fridge is about a week. I'm no expert, though. It might last longer. You can peel them if you like. I'm a lazy cook:D The first time I made this I couldn't tell. This time I should have added another minute onto the cooking time. There are tiny pieces of peel but I don't mind it. They are soft. Of course, you could also blend a little longer. I would LOVE to learn how to can. For now I just freeze.:)

I had one jar in the freezer for a month, then we ate it, LOL so I don't know how long it would last. I thawed it in the fridge.:001_smile:

Allearia
Great start! I have a pressure cooker that I am trying to start using more as I do more from scratch cooking. I've never made applesauce before, I'll have to try it. Looks like a good way to try out my hand blender too.
CLHCO
Oh, I'll certainly check it out! I have one but I don't use it much because I don't have very many recipes.
