Grantmom
I have a middle schooler with an interest in marine biology. With my older son, we did middle school science very unstructured, child-led. However, with this child, I think he would like something that was more structured, and it would make things easier for me. Can anyone advise me? I just remembered that we have access to the Super Charged Science materials, from a subscription that I bought and haven't used yet. So, maybe there is something in there. I'd still like to hear other ideas. Thanks!
lanalouwho
This is a free aquatic science curriculum. I've never used it; my kids are nowhere near old enough. I only know about it because of one of our local groups. It might be worth looking at. http://tpwd.texas.gov/education/resources/aquatic-science/texas-aquatic-science Sent from my HTCD200LVW using Tapatalk
Grantmom
Thank you so much! That looks awesome! I wonder if we have something similar that is specific to our area.
Dmmetler
http://www.projectwild.org/aquatic/ Also, check with your state wildlife and fisheries agency-they usually have great stuff. We have this book: https://www.amazon.com/Marine-Biology-Coloring-Book-Second/dp/006273718X Here is my resource list for Aquatic biology. This is more high school level, for a student who has already had a strong general biology background but may be helpful. http://makingmusicwithkids.blogspot.com/2016/04/homeschool-aquatic-biology.html Edited September 8, 2016 by dmmetler

waa510
Ocean First Education is good site for structured learning about marine bio. I think HSBC does some sales occasionally, I'd look there before buying anything.
