pocjets
I have 8 kids, 5 of whom are in school this year. I need suggestions for a spelling curriculum they can do without my help!! Grades are 6,5,3,1, and K. I'm not really concerned with my 1st grader and Kindergartener yet. Thank you!!!!
UCF612
When I asked awhile back Spelling by Structure and Sound was recommended. As was Phonetic Zoo by IEW though it was pricier.
pocjets
What did you end up with?
Ms.Ivy
I just found out about this yesterday... I like it because we have already been using Sequential Spelling: http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/621119-sequential-spelling-is-now-online/
Ellie
Rod and Staff's Spelling by Sound and Structure. :-)
UCF612
What did you end up with? We didn't end up switching! I'm still doing AAS. He (my oldest) begged me not to change. He's a good speller naturally so we just do AAS quickly and not as often. My youngest is a terrible speller so he needs the one on one. I would have picked the R&S Spelling by Sound and Structure I think. I liked the look of PZ but couldn't justify the cost. busymama7
Rod and Staff's Spelling by Sound and Structure. :-) Yep! Large family here and this has been so great for us. I have to give quizzes at the end of lessons but they usually stagger so I'm only doing one child. You can also use spelling city for practice or to give the test.
