Miss Peregrine
DH has been having very sharp pain in his right lung(that's what he said it felt like) He went to urgent care 6 days ago. Doc took xrays and said it looked like a touch of pneumonia but it would have to be confirmed by radiology. We never heard anything else. Gave him a z-pack. He finished it yesterday. Today the pain is back. Like flinching pain. Dh was diagnosed with bronchitis about 6 weeks ago and just rode it out. He never got 100% and the sharp pain started about 2 weeks ago. Any ideas? 1GirlTwinBoys
Pleurisy possibly?? Edited July 2, 2016 by 1GirlTwinBoys
trulycrabby
He should go to the er immediately. They need to rule out things like pleural effusion, pulmonary embolism, pneumonia (z pack may have been ineffective), collapsed lung. I had lung pain after pneumonia, but it was a general, burning pain.
Pegasus
Yes, he needs to pursue this immediately. My first thought is a cracked rib from coughing with the bronchitis but that should have showed up in the x-rays.
momto10blessings
My husband went through practically the same thing, ended up needing a stronger antibiotic. Hopefully that's all it is, but I'd definitely go into the doctor or ER. Better safe than sorry.
