BlsdMama
So I use the blue sponges with scratch pads on the back. I buy them in bulk from Costco, but I admit trapped food makes me shudder. We use hand knit washcloths for general wiping odd counters, washing easy dishes, etc., and we go through a couple each day, but with all the cooking we do and using cast iron, it has always felt like the scratch pads are a necessity. Is there a good brush that can wash easily in the dishwasher that works well? A particular shape? I'd love to find an alternative. Mabeline
For cast iron, I really like my chainmail scrubby. https://www.amazon.com/Ringer-Stainless-Chainmail-Cleaner-8x6-Inch/dp/B00FKBR1ZG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1466485892&sr=8-1&keywords=Cast+iron+metal+scrub
foxbridgeacademy
I buy the green scotch scrubber pads and they do really well in the dishwasher. I can run them through the dishwasher at least 3-4 times (with regular rinsing after use in between) before they start to get too bad. I put them on the top rack in an upright position (where the bowls go). This method does not work as well with sponges :glare: .
