What's funny is I think fitbit and some of these new devices are doing what the researchers were doing in that article...  So now it's easy data for anyone to get.

Interesting. We saw sleep medicine at a children's hospital for insomnia with my spectrum guy. That did have several sleep studies showing severe delayed sleep onset, so they are focusing on shifting his biological cues to have earlier sleep onset from the medical side of things.

He said they have a majority of autism and adhd kids in the insomnia part of their practice. My son told him he can't shut off his brain to sleep. The doctor told him that was very common in kids like him, and they would be able to help.

We have an appt. with their insomnia clinic this month, and he'll be working with someone who specializes in spectrum kids--helping them to learn to settle their minds to sleep according to the sleep medicine dr. We'll see! He's doing so much better lately with just the medical side they helped with.
