Jean in Newcastle
I just signed up for one of those online medical chart services for one of dd's doctors. When I logged in to make sure that everything was working, I noticed that they have her racial information wrong - or at least incomplete. The chart says that she is white but she is only half white. Do I bother to correct that? Does it even matter?
kiana
I would. There are certain things that are more common in specific ethnic groups and if her medical chart is wrong they may not think to look for them.
poppy
I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, personally. It may have been self-reported.
Jean in Newcastle
I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole, personally. It may have been self-reported. I asked dd what she would like it to say. She does not care. I don't care either except that it is medical and as the PP stated, wondered if it would make a difference medically. Farrar
I would, for the reasons Kiana said - there are some health risks that are higher depending on race. On the other hand, if it turned into a hassle, I don't know that I'd expend much effort on it...

Yes, I'd have it changed.
