UnlikelyHomeschoolingMama
I'm just curious if anybody knows the plans for Apologia's Young Explorers series. They have come out with a new edition for the Astronomy. Are they re-vamping all seven days? Thanks!!
Janeway
I am also wondering people's opinions of the new Astronomy. I currently have it and thought I would want to go to the new edition. But the new edition, in the samples, I thought just did not look as good.

We are doing astronomy next year and I planned on going with the updated version, partly because I like that the notebooking journals are in color. What have you seen specifically that makes you feel it isn't as good? Thanks for any help you can give!
UnlikelyHomeschoolingMama
I actually like the look of the new one. After doing Land Animals with my 2nd grader this year, I like the looks of the new astronomy. Not as "wordy", if that makes sense. We are doing it in Co-op next year, so I could answer better once I get my hands on it. We LOVED Land Animals, which is why I ask about the other ones...if they are going to keep updating, because I feel like we'll stick with it. We'll see though....you never know when my eyes may wander! :)

It looks broken up to me. It reminds me of what irritated me about public school books. I do not feel like it looks like it flows as well.

However, I don't have any issues with the layout compared to the other books in the exploring creation series. I'm so glad it wasn't actual content you noticed being not as good because I was looking forward to getting the updated version. Thanks again for your comments!
