Psychologist recommendation needed please (NH) cross posted

I would really appreciate it if someone had a recommendation for a psychologist with experience in anger and / or anxiety issues for my 9 year old son. We're located between Manchester and Nashua, New Hampshire but traveling further is possible. It's hard enough to admit we need help with his issues, the last thing I need to hear is that the "solution" is to put him back in school.

 

Thank-you for any help that anyone can provide. I'm at my wits end.

I don't, but in my experience I had to try a couple of people before finding someone who could zip it about homeschooling.  Don't be discouraged by that.

I know a therapist who homeschools her kids and works in a properly credentialed, Christian-oriented practice in Nashua.   I think they let the client decide how much Christian talk goes on in session. This therapist does work with teens at least and there may be some one else there who works specifically with children.  Let me know if you want more info.

Lanny - that was one of the places I looked for recommendations. My husband is a physician and we also asked the pediatricians and the head of psychiatry/psychology at his hospital. Someone Pm'd me and I was able to use that recommendation as a "tiebreaker" between suggestions.

If you are up for the drive we have a fabulous pschycologist at Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon NH....also if you want short term they off anxiety groups that are once a week for 8 weeks and usually get paid for by insurance...perhaps that have that at the Dartmouth branch in your area.
