Shellydon
I just received my Instant Pot and am excited to try it out. I'd love to know your favorite meals and recipes for the Instant Pot.
NicksMama-Zack's Mama Too
My kids love this Mac & cheese recipe http://dadcooksdinner.com/2013/04/pressure-cooker-macaroni-and-cheese.html/ I make hard boiled eggs in mine. They are perfect every time! Add 1 cup of water to pot, put in trivet or small steamer basket inverted, add eggs, put in lid and set for Manual 8 minutes. Release pressure when finished and put eggs in an ice water bath. Peal and enjoy! I watch a lot of YouTube videos and I like this person's the best. She seems to keep it simple

Shellydon
Thanks! I'll join the groups. I tried rice, but it came out very stick, not fluffy at all. Not sure what I did wrong.

I have had the same problem. The woman in the YouTube video mentioned that to get "fluffy" rice, you had to let pressure release on it's own and not do a quick release. Rice to water ratio is 1:1.5. Hth, -K I did let the pressure release on its own, but I did a 1:1 water ratio (as directed in the instructions that came with the pot). I will increase it to 1:1.5 next time, thanks! zoobie
I do my eggs in a silicone steamer basket and set it to 6 minutes on steam, then immediately into an ice bath. The sooner you peel, the easier it is. It's amazing how easy they are to peel! I've tweaked it from my post in this thread with a bunch of recipes: http://forums.welltrainedmind.com/topic/540138-instantpotpressure-cooker-favorite-recipes/
