Janie Grace
If so, what kind? Is/was it successful in controlling bleeding/pain from your fibroids? I have heard that sometimes they help and sometimes the progesterone and/or estrogen can actually cause the fibroids to grow. It's so confusing, trying to find a solution to this issue. Pawz4me
I did, but it's been so long ago that I've forgotten what I took. Unfortunately, it didn't help. I couldn't tell that it made any difference at all.
Peach
I tried it and it had no effect at all. I've also read that the hormones can worsen the problem. I can't way whether it did or not in my case. Mine were bad enough, and causing such issues, that they had to go.
HS Mom in NC
Yes, a few years ago, but the first b/c pills didn't quite do the job so another kind of b/c pills had to be used. Talk to your doctor about them not working. I don't remember which I used because it was temporary for 6 months of physical training. Then I had a hysterectomy but I was 41, was 10 years past having babies, and the last one was adopted anyway. The largest fibroid was just over a pound and was the size of a newborn's head. Another was in my cervix. There were a couple of other smaller ones too. One of the best decisions I ever made. (Removing just the fibroids was an option but I wasn't interested.)
