Despite DH making a pretty good salary we have always been renters. In our area - even horrible neighborhoods with tiny homes would sell for 800k or more and good neighborhoods were in the millions. So finally prices have dropped a bit, DH continues to get raises and we worked hard over the last year to make sure the credit was in tip top shape. We finally tried applying for a loan, and just got the phone call - we have been prequalified and can start home shopping!!!
