Diana in OR
Most everyone here knows I'm running for city council. I was just quoted in a local newspaper: "[Development] should not be infringing on areas that should be left alone." That's one of *those* statements, IYKWIM. I should have followed it up with a big, fat DUH! Yikes! I certainly don't intend to be one of *those* politicians (non-committal, changes mind frequently, etc). I thought those of you who like to carefully craft your words would get a kick out of it.
Pam "SFSOM" in TN
"[Development] should not be infringing on areas that should be left alone." Well, even if it's "duh," I have to agree with you. It *shouldn't* be, dangit. :D
Diana in OR
The way I said it, it could be interpreted that development shouldn't take place in the middle of the street, lol.
Peek a Boo
This is a great reason to have a website or blog, lol. Make sure you have SOMEthing online [blog, news-only yahoogroup, etc]where all statements and positions can be clarified. Also --send in a letter to the editor clarifying it. but yeah --you ARE right, lol!!
